Finding a new home for our Lab is a difficult, often times heart wrenching process. We know that no one can take care of our guy or gal as well, or love as much, as we do. As we learn, sometimes life has its own plans and we know in our heart it would be best if our Lab began a new life.

To make the best use of a space when placing your Lab on this site, please include a picture and a paragraph and email to Lodestar Dog Ranch.


Digital picture

When looking at a website such as this, you know the site visitor's eyes will go directly to the write-up with the picture. If you do not include a picture, you reduce the chance of quick adoption. Take the time to take a good photo, one that shows your Lab's unique personality and also what he/she really looks like. (This is especially true if you have a mix. People are leery of what that "mix' might be, and they will want to see what they are considering to bring into their family).

Paragraph

The paragraph should accurately describe him/her so that a potential adopter will be able to determine if your Lab and their family would be a good match for each other. In order to maximize the chance of your Lab getting the home he/she deserves, you have to be as truthful as you can about your Lab's "beauty marks and warts."

This paragraph should contain, but not necessarily be limited to the following information: Name
Lab or Lab mix (mixed with what, if known)
Color (yellow/white; chocolate;black)
Age
Weight
Sex
Energy level (high/medium/low)
Barker?
Jumper/digger-is he/she an escape artist. If so, what height fence should the new family have?
Does you Lab get along with other dogs
Does you Lab get along with cats
Does you Lab get along with children (toddlers/older)
Neutered/Spayed
Up to date with shots
And very important, why are you wanting to place your Lab?
