Any dog listed here lived with his/her owner or caretaker until a new family was found. The dog was spared the trauma of moving from place to place with many adjustments. He or she could live at "home" until loving new owners were identified from LODESTAR Dog Ranch's waiting list. Some new owners learned about the available dogs directly from this website and went to listed shelters to adopt.

Such facilitation does not have a fee, but any donations to the LODESTAR Dog Ranch, a non profit; 501(c)(3) organization, are greatly appreciated.

Misty[ADOPTED] is 8 months old and an owner surrender to the westside animal shelter because her owners are losing their house. As it's been a week she's been available she is at the end of her time. She has entropy in her right eye which will require surgery. (COOPER's FUND can cover the cost.) Misty is a purebreed the owner obtained from a breeder. She spent her life outside. Big Dog [ADOPTION PENDING] is a 1 year old, 60 pound, male, black Lab. This guy wondered into a yard in Belen and made himself at home. But,unfortunately for the big guy, several other dogs had previously made their home there, so it's best he find his own place. This friendy guy gets along with other dogs, cats and kids. But, nobody's perfect. Big Dog has Masticatory Myositis. In words I could understand, he cannot fully open his mouth. This is a result of a infection. The vet has given him some steroid pills and he is showing significant improvement. Even if no improvement was shown he is fine with his condition. He eats and drinks with the best of them. Sam (Img 5822) [ADOPTED] is a 6 year old owner relinquishment female yellow lab. Supposedly no behavior problems... they just wanted her to find a new home through the adoption center- a problem they are seeing way too often because people do not understand that it is still an animal shelter and they are still euthanizing 30-40 animals per day on some days.

Crystal is a project. We have had Labs like her at the ranch before. They really don't know how to be a Lab (or any kind of dog for that matter). Crystal's new owner needs to have patience and love the challenge. That first time she comes up behind you and licks your hand you'll know it was worth it. • Jack[ADOPTED] is a 1 year old, 80 pound, black Lab mix. The young age of the children and the young age of Jack isn't the best combination. This handsome guy is neutered and housebroken. Jack plays a bit rough and may be able to use some remedial training.

• Chopper[ADOPTED] is a 1 year old, 60 pound, male, black, Lab. Tragedy turned Chopper's family's life upside down leaving little time for an active Lab. It's best that he find a new home. He is neutered, was housebroken but has been outside of late. He gets along with other dogs, loves kids and has no experience with cats

• Cesar[ADOPTED] is a 6 1/2 year old, 80 pound, male, black, Lab. Death of his owner has this handsome guy looking for a new home. He is not a digger, jumper nor barker. He gets along with other dogs, cats and kids. Cesar is housebroken and neutered. The only problem Cesar has is that he doesn't have a home.

• Goldie[ADOPTED] is a 2 year old, 80 pound, female, yellow, purebred Lab. Family disagreement over the "cuteness" of an active young Lab necessitates a new home for Goldie. She is good with dogs, cats (as you can see) and kids, was almost housebroken, but has been outside the last year (relearning should not take long). This beauty could use a large yard with an active owner and no chickens.

• Joplin [ADOPTED] is a 10 month old, 40 pound, female, black, Labradoodle (designer breed of Lab and poodle). Young Lab energy is not compatable with spending her days in her trucker owner's cab for the long hauls. Joplin is good with dogs, loves people and hasn't been around cats. She is housebroken and up to date on her shots. This is her picture taken just about 1 month ago when she graduated from her 1st course of pet training at Petsmart. This is the first Labradoodle we have had on this site. I don't expect her to last long.

• Sweetie[ADOPTED] is a 1 year old, 40 pound, purebred, female, yellow Lab. An operation has left Sweetie's owner unable to give her the attention she needs. This beauty is housebroken, spayed, gets along with kids and dogs and has not as yet met a cat. She is not a jumper, barker, nor digger. Right dog, wrong situation.

• Roco[ADOPTED] is a 5 year old, 70 pound, purebred, yellow Lab. Tragedy struck Roco's family, now it's best he start his lif over. He is neutered, housebroken, good with dogs and kids, and loves to chase cats. This will be tough for the family to say good bye to Roco, but they know it is best. Sometimes best isn't easy.

• Cory[ADOPTED] is a 2 year old, 85 pound, purebred, yellow Lab. This pretty girl was found as a stray wondering down a highway in the Los Lunas area supporting an embedded collar. Many attempts were made to find the owners. (Thankfully, they were not found.) Cory's rescurer loves her, but cannot keep her. Cory is good with dogs and kids, not so good with cats. She is housebroken, uses a doggy door and is up to date on her shots. She could use a 6 foot fence to keep her safe. It is not known if she is spayed.

• Couper[ADOPTED] is a 15 month old, neutered, microchipped, male, black Lab mix that I got from the alb pound. When i got him in february I had ample time to work with him. He had been in a cage most of his 8 months at that point. He is such a great Lab but I have since opened my own business and do not have ample time needed for him... Its not fair to him. I want to find him a home where he will have an owner that can give him what he deserves "time" He needs a fenced yard though. He is very freindly (overly sometimes) but is extremely intelligent. He still has the Lab chew issue however, that needs work. Couper needs to be where he can do what Labs do and right now he is not in that place...I love him dearly that's why I need to find him a home where he is the center of attention.... PS. he isn't the bravest Lab in the world he can get up on top of his dog house he just can't get down and he has to be "rescued," goofy boy he is.

• Zeke[ADOPTED] is a 5 year old, male, 90 pound, purebred, yellow Lab. Zeke has everything you would want from an adult Lab; he is neutered, housebroken, good with other dogs, loves people--big people. That's the reason Zeke needs another family. A baby arrived, Zeke wasn't consulted, they don't get along. This is a right dog in a wrong place. Get on the list for this guy, he'll go fast.

• Hershey[ADOPTED] is a 9 month old, male, 50 pound, purebred chocolate Lab. Lab energy and family time to work with that energy are not equal. So Mr. Hershey would be better off in a more active situation. He is currently not neutered and he has been an outside dog. Both conditions are correctable and for the good of Hershey and society he should be neutered, and for the good of Hershey and his new family he should be able to spend some time inside. This is a sweet dog who loves all things Lab-- water, dogs, cats, kids (as bowling pins) and some things not Lab, like rabbits (he was even cought kissing a rabbit! Please do not tell the Lab union about that.) Hershey enjoys camping and hiking and is good on and off leash.

• Lucy[OFF TO DRUG/BOMB TRAINING--CONGRATULATIONS LUCY!] is a 1 year old, 65 pound, female, purebred, registered yellow Lab. Lucy has all the energy of a young Lab, plus some from another Lab. She could use an active family with time to devote to "expressing" some of that energy. This is a beautiful Lab who gets along with other dogs. Cats are an unknown and she likes kids, but they have to enjoy being knocked around a bit. Lucy is not spayed (a condition which the new owners must swear on the head of their first born to change). She is semi-housebroken.

• Hersey[ADOPTED] is a 8 month old, male, 50 pound, purebred chocolate Lab. Lab energy and family time to work with that energy are not equal. So Mr. Hersey would be better off in a more active situation. He is currently not neutered and he has been an outside dog. Sugar is good with cats and kids and plays well with other dogs, with one exception, the dog she is living with. Because of this "personality conflict" it's best she find another home.

• Henry [ADOPTED]is a 3 year old, 70 pound, male, pure and papered, yellow. New babies and job travels make it impossible to give Henry the attention he deserves. Henry is not a barker, digger nor jumper. His layed back disposition makes him good with other dogs and kids of all ages, cats are an unknown. (He just looks at the neighbor cats sitting on the fence, so he mustn't see them as his next meal.) He is currently not neutered, but would very much like to be. He is semi-housebroken and being a quick learner Henry will soon be out of the "semi" category.

• Elijah and Macabee [BOTH ADOPTED] are two neutered, 4 year old, Lab brothers. These two handsome buggers are looking for a new home. Their current owner calls them the best dogs he has ever had. They do not have a fence and a neighbor is afraid of dogs. Our boys like to go next door and wish them a good day--not appreciated. Elijah and Macabee are housebroken, microchipped and great with other dogs, cats and kids. These two must go together and there will be a waiting list

• Pepper is an 11 year old, female, black, Lab. Pepper's owner is moving to a non dog friendly apartment and must give up her friend of 11 years. Pepper is in good health, she is spayed, housebroken, good with dogs and kids but has had no experience with cats. Yes Pepper is old and may only have a couple of more years left but that could be a couple of good years as your best friend.

• Buffy [ADOPTED] is a 3 1/2 year old, 50 pound, female, black, Lab. Owner's health has curtailed the exercise, and as importantly, the attention this active Lab needs. Buffy is spayed and housebroken, but has not been in the house much recently. She should be OK with other dogs and kids with good balance. Cats are an unknown. • Cleo [ADOPTED] is an 8 year old, 90 pound, female, yellow/white, pure Lab. This beautiful girl's owner's health does not allow Cleo all the attention she deserves. This is your perfect adult Lab.   • Ruby [ADOPTED] is the Momma, She know basic commands and is pretty laid back. Ruby's little boy is Max.[ADOPTED] He is very active and does not know any commands.Mom is about 4 and her sonny boy is about 10 months old. They have both been "altered," are heartworm free, and up to date with their shots. They were boarded in Roswell, but they were in different pens and Max could not take being away from Ruby. They couldn't put them together so they were rescued and are currently together in Artesia. Let's try to keep them together--two purebred, sweet, housebroken yellows.   [ADOPTED] is a 4 year old, 70 pound,female, black, Lab. Owner is moving to an apartment which only allows cat-size dogs so Daisy will need to find another place to spread her Lab-love. Daisy is--get all this--spayed, housebroken, good with dogs, cats and kids, not a jumper, digger nor barker. All that that's wrong with this girl is she doesn't have a place to live after 6/1/07.

• Jake[ADOPTED] is a 2-3 year old, male, black, Lab. This guy was found one month ago as a stray in the East Mountains. There was no luck finding the owner, so he was taken in by a family who tried to keep Jake outside within a wire fence and found this guy can climb wire with the best of them. They gave up on him. He is now at home with another neighbor who has a doggy door and access to a Lab's prize possession--people. So far he has shown no inclination to leave.Jake is good with other dogs, is not neutered and is semi-housebroken.

• Susy[ADOPTED] is a 6 month old, female, black Lab. Susy is great with other dogs, cats and kids--She's just not so good with wiring, remote controls and other human "chew toys." This is your typical curious young Lab who has not been taught what young Labs need to be taught. She has not been spayed and has not been invited in to her owners home. This is a Lab in progress. With a little patience you can have yourself a great dog.

• Rascal [ADOPTED] is a 1 year old, male, 70 pound, purebred, papered, neutered, yellow Lab. Rascal is a typical young Lab whose energy level doesn't fit into owner's lifestyle. He is neutered (Rascal, not the owner) and has been basically an outside dog, which is not Rascal's idea. Rascal is good with other dogs, likes to "play" with cats and his playfulness can be hard on kids who can tip over easily. Rascal has an eye situation which makes him a bit sensitive to bright sunlight, but since he will not keep his sunglasses on, he has learned to adjust. The present owner is going to get a more definitive diagnosis so that the new owner will know with what he/she is dealing. In the meantime it would be good to get your name on the list.

• Nova[ADOPTED-ALF STILL NEEDS A HOME] is a 5 year old, 55 pound,female, yellow, Lab. This sweet thing's owner became suddenly ill and can no longer care for his friend. Nova is spayed, housebroken, good with dogs, cats and kids. She is not a jumper, digger, nor barker. Just a good dog in a bad situation. Nova will go quickly, I would suggest getting on the waitng list
  The owner also has a 4 year old, Rott mix named Alf who will need a home. Alf is neutered, housebroken, up to date with shots, good with dogs, cats and kids. He is not a barker, digger nor jumper (He may not be a jumper because he only has 3 legs--doesn't bother Alf and shouldn't bother anyone interested in giving this good dog a new home.)

• Bella[ADOPTED] is a 2 1/2 year old, 55 pound, female, yellow Lab mix (possibly with Golden Retriever). Bella's owner is moving and must reluctantly find a new home for her girl. Bella is a docile, loving dog who gets along with dogs, cats and kids. She is housebroken, spayed and microchipped--the complete package.

• Higgins (AKA Higgy) [ADOPTED] is a 4 year old, male, yellow Lab mix.
  
  Here is what his owner has to say about Mr. Higgins:
  
  "He is great with our other dogs except that the German Sheppard/Malamute mix (Lex) isn’t to fond of his eagerness (Lex is kind of old). He loves cats and wishes they would just love him back. He would prefer to be inside all the time and loves walks if there are people involved. He chases prairie dogs gleefully. We had him fixed, de-wormed, shots, etc. He isn’t fond of sleeping on a hard floor (much prefers a bed). We haven’t had much time for training… he knows sit and is house trained as far as we can tell. I think he would do best in a situation where he is confined to a yard or on a leash since he has been able to roam at our place (he might be a little to used to covering a lot of ground). We do raise cattle and none of our dogs have ever wounded a newborn calf. I think he would be the perfect indoor dog for someone who likes to take walks. He loves to be around other animals, children, people, etc... He has been fed well and doesn’t have any injuries or wounds. (He did lose a small portion of his right ear to a riff with a neighbors dog who comes over to taunt sometimes (maybe an inch or so squared). We found him skinny, wormy, sick, etc. and tried to take care of him as best we could but now it's time for Higgy to find a home of his own."(Higgins lives in Taos.   • Ottis and EB[BOTH ADOPTED] are two purebred, 9 year old, male, yellow Labs. These two brothers may look familiar to followers of this site. Their owner became suddenly ill and needed to enter a nursing home. A new home was found, but that person can now no longer keep them, We are back to square one. Both are neutered, and they have been inside dogs. These guys have been together all of their lives, and we will do everything to keep it that way.
    
    We know that finding someone who would want two older dogs is needle-in-the-haystack stuff, but if we don't find someone, through no fault of their own, Ottis and EB's future would be very dark. We give old dogs a loving home for the remainder of their lives for one simple reason--they are worth it.

    Hi! Everybody. "We're Ottis and EB and we love, love. We're brothers and have been together from the very begining. Ever since we were pups we've lived with our friend Max. It's been 9 wonderful years, but unfortunately Max had to go away. So now we are looking for the next great friend or friends that we get to love. We have bubbly personalities and make great throw pillows. Kids and cats love to sleep on us and we're hungry all the time. We love bananas! Givin the fact that we're not spring chickens any more we do have to have a bit of preventative maintenance done on a regualar basis. See, of the two of us, you know in this state someone's going to get allergies. That would be me, Ottis. But with the right food and a daily dose of benedryl, I'm fine. Also, I've had a bit of minor surgery, but things turned out great and I've got many years left. Whew! Now for me, EB, so far so good. I'm just too good to be true. HeeHee. The other thing that makes this whole match making thing a little complicated is that we must stay together. See it broke our hearts when Max had to leave, and we just plain ol' need each other. This cutie was found wondering in downtown Albuquerque about 6 months ago and was rescued by a young couple with a very busy life. It's time Alma finds herself a permanent home.       Abby is a 3 year old, 50 pound, spayed, female Lab. She is crate trained and good in the house when you're not in the house. This little vocal cutie is crate trained, loves to swim, loves her people and her ball (not always in that order).
      
      Brucie is an 85 pound, neutered, 4 year old, yellow Lab. This big blockheaded handsome guy is good with the little ones and is housebroken. Brucie, like Abby, gets along with other dogs, but he could just as easily be the single love of your life.

    • Bodhi [ADOPTED] is a spayed, housebroken Lab/Golden + mix with a 100% Lab disposition. She gets along well with kids and is fascinated by cats. She is not a digger, jumper nor barker.
      
      Here is what the owners have to say:
      
      "We are looking for a loving home with a good environment for a 14-month old Lab mix. Bodhi is big (75 lbs!), sweet, intelligent, loves people, and is pretty much past puppydom. When strangers are not around, she is quiet and content. When people are around, she loves to be with them.
      
      ...She needs more training as we have not had the time to work consistently with her. She does the usual sit, come, etc., but needs someone willing to be the "alpha" dog to complete her obedience work. We are willing to help out with the cost of more training if someone will take her to classes.
      
      Our reasons for wanting to find a good home:
      
      Besides not being here enough for her, and the future looking like we will be away more, we do not have a good outdoor situation (small pen) and we are not able to walk with her enough. She has been outdoors at times on her own as we live out in the mountains, but new homes are going up around us, which means new dogs coming into the neighborhood. Jake was found in bad shape by a kind family who took him under their wing and nurtured him back to his fine strapping self.     Jerome[ADOPTED] a 6 month old, 50 pound chocolate Lab mix, was found on the side of the road New Year’s and took it to the Pet-ER. He was kept over night to access his condition. He was doing much better, just Cortisone and observation and he looks fine, except for Demodex around one eye and patch on throat and leg. He was taken to a regular vet and had rabies, DHPP and heartworm test,..Bruce is very social, loves his people, good with other dogs and kids and is learning what to do inside the house and what's to be done outside the house. Gracie's human Mom's work schedule left her girl alone too long during the day so Gracie reverted to a-pup-left-alone mode. She is spayed and housebroken Gracie has not been with other dogs but, after all, she is a Lab pup so let's go with her being good with other dogs.     • Halley and Venus[ADOPTED] are sisters whose owners are moving overseas for a lengthy job assignment. The owners' heartfelt loss will be somebody else's gain. Both females are purebred, spayed, black Labs. Venus is 7 years old, 80 pounds and Halley is 6 years old, 65 pounds, are housebroken, good with other dogs and up to date with their shots. They are not diggers, barkers or jumpers and have done some remedial hunting. They have been together since puppyhood, and they should go together to their new home.

Registered: Halleys' Winter Fun Parents from Washburn Retrievers Kennel, Marlow, Oklahoma Very good hunting stock. Housebroken and make good house dog. Somewhat excited when first entering house but laid back in few minutes. Very gentle. Good with people and children. Might be a little hyper for small children. Does not dig, chew and barks only occasionally when strangers come to gate to back yard. Very healthy active dog.
      
      Owner's departure date has been moved up, so our two girls need to find their new home soon. These are two purebred, spayed, housebroken, adult Labs.   • Dallas[ADOPTED] is a 6 month old, 40 pound, female, purebred, black Lab. A young couple's life took a different turn than they expected and it didn't leave a spot for this pretty girl. Dallas is spayed and has spent most of her short life outdoos, but as a typical Lab if you are inside that's where she will want to be. Dallas gets along well with other dogs, and has shown no particular animosity toward cats.

Owners have had Rusty since puppyhood and have redone the yard and in Rusty's part of the yard he's not getting the stimulation an adult sporting dog needs.(He is a trained hunter.)   Charlie (AKA Bubba) is a 1 1/2 year old, 80 pound, male, neutered chocolate Lab.No beating around the bush--this is one of the sweetest, most handsome, athletic, strong, Labs in which we have come in contact. Everyone who has bonded with Charlie (two adoptive homes, Santa Fe Humane, LODESTAR Dog Ranch and God knows how many others before arriving as a stray at Santa Fe Humane) can't believe what an exceptional dog he is, and also could not make him work in their lives. Every good thing you can think about a young lover Lab Charlie has, but Charlie also has two serious medical/behavioral issues. Charlie has epilepsy and separation anxiety.
  
  It is a long shot, but we need someone who does, or could have, a life style that includes a dog 24/7. We don't think a "normal" home situation will work. We were brainstorming--how about a nursing, medical, correctional facility or an orphanage? Some othere possibilities for a "savior" for Charlie would be a homebound person, a person who can/will take their big dog everywhere, a person who is a master trainer. How about somebody with mucho acreage and no fencing where Charlie could run free? That person will also have to be okay in financing (moderate expense) and administering Charlie's seizure meds.
  
  Without a new home soon, all that is good with Charlie will die with his personal demons.

  • Leisha and Pauz[BOTH ADOPTED] are two life-long pals looking for a new home. Owner's move to a series of temporary housing arrangements doesn't leave any room these two 9 year old buddies. Leisha is a purebred short, stocky, black Lab. Pauz is a tall, stately German Shepherd. Pauz is partially, (moving toward totally) blind but can successfully negotiate the two acres upon which he is now running. Leisha and Pauz are outside dogs who have shared a nice warm dog house all of their lives.

She likes to be both inside and outside. She is house trained and crate trained. She was overweight when she arrived but has lost weight and is beginning to really look good. Becca was apparently struck with a very heavy object of some kind in the mouth. As a result, she had a splintered tooth that lodged in her gums, requiring some dental work and medication to take care of the infection. • Marmaduke [ADOPTED] is a 2-3 year old, 90+ pound yellow/fox red Lab mix. (His mix is with some other big breed, vet thinks maybe Newfoundland.) He was found as a lost dog on July 24th at 4th and Ranchitos in Albuquerque. Marmaduke is neutered, housebroken and good with other dogs. His owner/rescurer cannot keep him because they have 3 other dogs, but if they could they would. This guy is a big, sweet, gentle giant who loves to be where ever his people are. Sure, he's big, but folks somebody's life is about to get a whole lot better when they bring 90 pounds of love into their home. Could that be you?

• Danza [ADOPTED] is a 2 1/2 year old, female, 65 pound, black Lab mix. Military family being deployed and split up, not leaving enough time for good old Danza. He is not a barker, digger nor jumper (stays in a 3 foot tall fence). This sweet guy was valedictorian at his obedience school. Danza gets along with other dogs and has lived with children ages 7 to 11. If you have some attention to give, Danza is ready to receive.

• Bella [ADOPTED] is a 10 month old, female, 60 pound, chocolate Lab. For her owner, Bella makes 5--Labs that is, and they have come to the conclusion that 4 is enough. She gets along with other dogs, it is believed she would get along with cats, and may be a bit roudy around little children. Bella sleeps inside, but has been primarily an outside dog. She is looking forward to her new owner spaying her. Bella is your typical young, high enery Lab and could use someone with a few training tips to spare.

• Stella[ADOPTED] is a 6 month old, female, yellow, Lab/German Shepherd mix. This is a sweet little girl with no real problems other than the fact her loving owner can't keep her (non- dog-loving landlord). Stella is housebroken, spayed, microchipped and gets along with all of earth's creatures.

• Hershey (ADOPTED) is a 5 month old, female, chocolate, 35 pound, Lab. An unexpected job change and a move to an apartment means this little girl needs to find a new home. She is not a jumper, digger nor barker. Hershey is good with dogs and young children and has yet to meet a cat. She is not spayed (as yet) and seems to like being outdoors, but at her tender age learning to be an inside dog should be no problem.

• Ringo [ADOPTED] is a 1 1/2 year old, male, black, 65 pound, very Labby looking Lab mix. Ringo is not neutered, is housebroken, good with other dogs and cats. This handsome guy walks well on a leash, does your basic sit/stay, does not dig, jump nor bark. Ringo has a story: He was picked up as a stray, and his rescuer could not keep him, so he went to the Humane Association. Ringo turned out to be one of those dogs who does not do well in a shelter situation. He showed as a very shy dog, was deemed unadoptable and scheduled to be put down within the hour. His rescuer knew Ringo was not that kind of a dog so she went back and adopted him to save his life. (She rescued him a 2nd time., but can't keep him.) Now, we're back to finding this sweet but "misunderstood" dog a permanent home.

• Naomi [ADOPTED] is a 5 month old, female, chocolate, 30 pound, Lab mix.
  Owner says:
  
  "...she knows all of her basic obedience, including: shake hands, high-5 (she can differentiate between the two), sit, lay, down (like off), stay, and come. She has also had some practice walking on the leash, and if you take charge and walk her close to you she does really well for her age. She is probably within a week of being 5 m.o."

• Max [ADOPTED]is a 1 1/2 year old, 75 pound, male, yellow, purebred Lab. Max is not neutered (a condition that should be changed), and has lived outdoors (a condition that can be changed). His owner's lifestyle is such that Max doesn't get the exercise he needs. He is good with other dogs, has lived with young kids and has no experience with cats.

• Ellie [ADOPTED]is an 11 month old, female, yellow, purebred Lab. A family move would not be best for Ellie, so her family reluctantly need to find this good dog a new home. She gets along well with other dogs and is not a jumper, digger or barker. A young, purebred, yellow, female--Ellie will not be looking for a new home for long.

• Princess and Patches [ADOPTED TOGETHER] are two 8 month old, Lab/German Shepherd mixes (parents papered purebreds). These two sisters get along with other dogs and are living with children as young as two.(P&P were perfect ladies, and a big hit at a 3 year old's birthday party) Princess and Patches are housebroken, know all basic commands. They are not diggers, jumpers nor barkers. They were spayed 3/31. Owner's allergies are the only reason these two beloved family pets need to find a new home.

• Toby [ADOPTED] is a 2 year old, 75 pound, male, black, Labby-looking Lab mix. This handsome guy is neutered, housebroken, leash trained, good with dogs, cats and kids. Toby spends most of his young Lab energy chasing horses and an occasional chicken. (So maybe the less rural the better for Toby.) This is a typical energetic, courious, social Lab. The owner and the horses would like to find a new home ASAP.

Here is 14 month old Peaches. [ADOPTED] She is a warm, loving, care-free dog whom needs a caring and respectful home. Being a lab and Sharpei mix Peaches is both hyper and lazy all at the same time. It is important that Peaches new owners take her to the park a few times a week if not every day. She loves to chase the Frisbee and if she does not get to she will become depressed. With all of her wrinkles in her face she can put on a pretty good pouty face as well. Don't want that on your conscious. Anyhow if I could possibly keep Peaches I would in a heart beat but I just can't. She is housetrained,knows a few tricks and is eager to please. She really is a great dog. Everyone tells me so all of the time."

Peaches is also good good with other dogs and cats. She may put her 70 pounds of love too close to the real young, so let's go with older kids.

• Riley [ADOPTED]is a 5 year old, yellow/white, 70 pound, male, Lab. Owner is military and both a change in the owner's health and pending relocation over seas is causing the need to split up a man and his dog. Riley is neutered, housebroke, up to date on his shots. This is such a great age for a Lab. Riley is low key, gets along with other dogs, cats and loves to play with the owner's 1 year old child. Riley is on meds for epilepsy and has not has a seizure in over 2 years. The meds are very affordable ($4.00 per month)

• Max [ADOPTED] is a 2 1/2 year old, male, black, Lab mix. Max is a mellow, laid back guy, but he is in a home with too many dogs. He is housebroken (uses a dog door) and neutered. Just to be sure, let's look for a home without another male dog.

• Molly and Sasha [ADOPTED] are two, female, purebred, yellow/white Labs. Both are good with other dogs and have been with young children all of their lives. Molly is 3 years old and spayed. Sasha is 2 years old and also spayed. The owner's family circumstances have changed. Both Labs are housebroken, crate-trained, do not dig, jump nor bark. Molly is blonde, stocky and very, very social and loving. Sasha has been with Molly since she was a tiny puppy and would be lost without her. Sasha is more social with other dogs, loves to run at the dog park. They both have to be on (generic) benadryl every day, but it's not expensive when purchased through Sam's Club. The owners have an igloo house for them, a huge wire crate they sleep in, leashes, etc. and would be more than happy to make it a package deal. They are wonderful girls and don't deserve what is happening to them.

• Sadie [ADOPTED] is a 5 year old, 55 pound, female, yellow Lab. Nothing wrong with this girl, just an owner who is moving to a non-animal friendly apartment. Sadie is spayed, microchipped, housebroken and gets along with dogs, cats and kids. (I told you there was nothing wrong.)

• Unali (U-Nall-E)[ADOPTED] is a 7 month old, 35 pound, female, black, Lab mix. Her owner has to move out of state very soon, and Unali has no place to call home. This little girl is good with dogs and kids, and it is believed, with her disposition, cats could go on that list also. She is housebroken but would need to be spayed. Unali is in Las Vegas, NM. Transportation can be arranged.

• Bart[ADOPTED] is a 2 1/2 year old, 80 pound, male, black, Lab. Bart is Lab friendly, neutered, housebroken, good with other dogs and children of all ages. With all of that going for him, why is he looking for a new home? Owner recognizes that he cannot give Bart the attention and exercise he needs, so for Bart's own good it's best he finds a more active home situation.

• Bell [ADOPTED] is a 2 year old, 55 pound, female, yellow, purebred Lab. This beautiful specimen of Labbyness is good with dogs (although she is an Alpha female) and good with kids. Bell was playing a little too rough with her much older, smaller canine housemate, so for the little one's safety it's best Bell find another place to play. Bell is in Chama NM, but her owner is coming to the Albuquerque area sometime in the week of 3/6.

• Chunky [ADOPTED]is a 1 1/2 year old, male, black, very Labby Lab mix. Chunky's owner, after a move, found himself in an apartment that is not enlightened enough to take dogs so Chunky will have to make another move. This is a mellow dog for his age, likes other dogs and kids, cats are an unknown. He is not neutered (but I'm sure he would like to be) and is semi-housebroken. Chunky currently lives in Las Cruces but transportation can be arranged.

• Bruiser [ADOPTED] is a 7 month old, male, black (with a distinctive white stripe down his chest) Lab. He is not neutered but is housebroken and good with cats, dogs and kids. Bruiser, like most all Labs his age, relates to the world with his mouth, so it would be helpful to puppy proof your home. This is a friendly pup who loves people and is well on his way to knowing, and doing, basic skills.

• Max 1 [ADOPTED-see below] is a 2 1/2 year old, male, yellow, purebred Lab. Max 1 is in a home with too many dogs and we're looking for a place where he could be an only dog--he loves the attention. Max 1 is neutered and has been an outside dog. His parents were hunters and he shows great hunting potential. (Max 1 is in Artesia--transportation can be arranged.)

• Lulu and Louie [BOTH ADOPTED-TOGETHER]are a pair of 2 1/2 year old, purebred Lab siblings.
  Lulu is a spayed, yellow, 60 pound, female.
  Louie is a neutered, black, 55 pound male.
  Their owner is moving to a place that does not allow outside dogs,which is what these two are, so the owner must move alone. Both dogs are good with other dogs, have had no experience with cats and have lived with children 5 years of age and up.

• Cheyenne(pictured)[ADOPTED] is a 3-4 year old, yellow, female, Lab mix. This cutie is housebroken, good with dogs, cats and kids (owner has 6). She is troubled by ear infections (not unusual for a Lab) which is cared for by meds. In her past Cheyenne has camped with her people. She is not spayed and guess what happened? • Rascal [ADOPTED] is a 7 month old, male, 70 pound, yellow/white, very Labby looking Lab mix. Rascal's owner's health doesn't allow the owner to give a young Lab the exercise it needs. He is a pup and has a pup's energy so she is very reluctantly looking for a home where this guy can get the attention he deserves. Rascal is neutered, housebroken, gets along with dogs, loves kids and it is believed, given his disposition, he would get along with cats.

• Mocha [ADOPTED] is a 9 month old, 75 pound, male, chocolate Lab. This handsome guy is neutered, housebroken, good with dogs, no experience with cats or kids (but no reason to believe there would be a problem with either). Mocha is smart and well on his way to doing the sit/stay thing. He loves to fetch and shows good hunting potential. He does enjoy chewing which, after all, is the main job of a 9 month old Lab.

• Zemi [ADOPTED]is a 2 year old, black, female, very Labby Lab mix.(picture right) Zemi is housebroken, spayed, gets along with dogs and kids of all ages and has had no experience with cats. Owner's time to spend with Zemi is limited and an older dog in the house would rather be an only dog in the house.

• Misty [ADOPTED] is a 4 year old, 75 pound, female, purebred, chocolate, Lab. This beauty is housebroken and spayed. Her owner's work schedule doesn't leave time for her, so Misty will occasionally leave her yard and go to the park to play. She comes back home. So let's go with a 6 foot plus fence, or a life style that doesn't require Misty to leave home to enjoy.

• Luc[ADOPTED] (Pictured) is an 1 1/2 year old, black, male, Lab. He is neutered, housebroken and up to date with his shots. This guy, after a good run or fetching session, loves to jump in the horse tank. He has also been to the gun range--(fetch, water, guns; hunting potential?) Luc gets along with other dogs,lives in an area with cats, chickens, goats and horses (which he tolerates).

• Velvet [ADOPTED]is a 1 1/2 year old, 60 pound, female, black, very Labby Lab mix. A high-energy, young Lab and a busy family aren't the best combination, so it's best that Velvet find another home. This pretty girl is spayed, microchipped, semi-housebroken and crate trained. She is good with other dogs and kids of all ages. She has had no experience with cats. Velvet is a stay at home Lab, will walk without a leash and stays in a backyard with a 4 foot fence.

• Daisy [ADOPTED]is a 5 year old, 65 pound, female, purebred, yellow, Lab. She has shown her cat housemate what she thinks of little pesty kittens, so it's best Daisy find a home without those "distractions." This beautiful Lab has been therapy trained, is housebroken, spayed, is not a digger nor a jumper, gets along with other dogs and kids. Five years old, what a great age for a Lab.

• Kiwi [ADOPTED] is a 65 pound, 1 1/2 year old, female, chocolate, purebred Lab. Owner ran out of hours in the day to keep this typical, high energy young Lab busy. Kiwi is not spayed and has been an outside dog. Both of those "conditions" can be changed. It would be best if your fencing exceeds 6 feet, or if your lifestyle makes a fence unnecessary. Kiwi is good with other dogs, no experience with cats and has been with very young children.

• Inky [ADOPTED]is a 4 year old, black Lab mix (hound?), weighing in at a great looking, muscular 130 pounds. He is not neutered, but I'm sure he would like to be. He is up to date on his shots, good with dogs, cats and kids and has been an outdoor dog all of his life.Inky would like to be with his people inside and with a little patience I'm sure he could be.

• Poker [ADOPTED] is a 5 year old, male, black, Lab. He is good with dogs and children, not sure about cats. He is housebroken and not as yet neutered (but has expressed interest in having it done). Due to a change in family circumstances Poker finds himself in full house and needs to shuffle (sorry, couldn't resist it) off to another home. This is such a great age for a Lab.

• Dakota [ADOPTED] is a 2 year old, 70 pound, male, chocolate, purebred Lab. He gets along with most other living creatures, adults, children (of all ages) and cats (5 of them) he just doesn't get along with his male Lab housemate. So his owner suggests he be an only dog or possibily with a submissive female (dog that is) Dakota is housebroken, microchipped, loves to fetch and is a great water dog.

• Sam [ADOPTED]is a 1 year old, 75 pound, male, black, Lab mix. His owner had to move and Sam had to stay behind. He is waiting in the back yard of an empty house to be included in your full house. Sam is good with kids, housebroken and loves to be petted.

• PUPPIES:Following is an email received here at the ranch:
  
  
  [ALL ADOPTED] "My parents live on the east side of the state (near Clovis) and mom is known as a soft touch. The little town closest to them does not have a shelter so when strays are caught they are euthanized immediately. They picked up two chocolate labs in town (about 2 months ago) and because they were such nice dogs, called my mom to see if she would take them. They had called the person they thought was the owner (and if he was they believe the dogs to be purebred chocolate labs) and his reply was that he couldn’t be bothered to pay the fines to get any dogs back). My mom, being a Lab lover, couldn’t turn them away so she added the dogs (2 young females) to her already large brood of animals. Over the next week she noticed that the older dog seemed to be developing a very noticeably “bloated” look. A trip to the Vet confirmed an advanced pregnancy. About a week later, she gave birth to 10 puppies (5 males, 5 females). The puppies are just beautiful and look like purebred chocolate labs. They are now 8 weeks old and Mom needs to start finding good homes for them. She wants very much for these little guys to be someone’s companion.
  
  They have been hand-raised and are all loving, people-oriented dogs...(picture at 2 weeks) They are very healthy pups and now that the mama dog has weaned them completely mom plans to get their puppy shots and exams this coming week. The Vet she is working with will not offer a spay/neuter discount so I'm not sure whether sterilization for 10 puppies is within our financial means but we will play that by ear..."(3 pups adopted, 2 more almost)

  Emerson[ADOPTED] is a chocolate lab that was born on 09/15/2004. He is very energetic and loving. He weighs about 75 pounds. He can shake, sit, and lay on command. He is house broken. He is an outdoor dog who sleeps indoors and is very aware of the surroundings. He is a typical puppy that loves to jump and dig. Emerson has had a lot of exposure to other dogs and children. • Marli [ADOPTED]is a 1 1/2 year old, 60 pound, purebred, black, female Lab. This big girl is living up to her breed and age and can use an owner with knowledge and time to work with her. Her current family realizes she needs more than they can give her. Marli is not spayed, up to date on shots, seems very comfortable in the house but has been primarily an outside dog. She is OK with dogs, likes kids but tends to be a little rough with the little ones and owner is not sure about cats. Hunter is neutered. microchipped, housebroken, gets along with dogs and kids, no experience with cats. He is not a jumper (people being the exception) digger nor barker.   • Sandy [ADOPTED] is a 2 year old, 65 pound, white/yellow purebred w/papers, Lab. This pretty girl's family is very busy and realize this is not fair to a highly active Lab. Sandy is spayed, good with other dogs and kids of all ages. She has been an ouside dog, but it is believed she would like to change that. This is an active dog--you an active family?

Ben [ADOPTED] is a 1-yr. old neutered, yellow, male. All shots are up-to-date. Ben was found wandering in Clovis, NM. He was very thin, upon his arrival, but he has gained weight and looks wonderful. This is a dog with a great temperament - sweet, gentle and well behaved. He has been around other people, dogs of both sexes (we have two other males on premises) and cats. He gets along well with everyone. Ben has been evaluated by a certified trainer for the handicapped. He was found to be in the 98th percentile for service. This is a dog with great potential and intelligence. His best placement would be with someone with physical disabilities. Blue [ADOPTED]is a beautiful and happy puppy. He is fearless, investigative, and he learns quickly. He is very well behaved, due to the obedience training he has received. • Maheta [ADOPTED]is a 6-9 month old, 25 pound, female, black Lab. This little girl wondered up to the house of a nice woman who took her in months ago. It was not expected to be a long term relationship and the woman's 14 year old Lab is being "puppied" unnecessarily, so it's time little Maheta find her own home.
Lucy [ADOPTED] is a 11 month old, 35 pound, black Lab mix. This little girl was rescued from the Albuquerque East Side Animal Shelter. She was brought into the shelter as a stray with an injured leg which healed with a little limp. She is a very active dog and plays well with others. She is not house trained at this time and will need a doggy door and another dog to play with. Lucy loves people and is a very confident happy girl. She is spayed and has had two set of shots. • Blue Boy and Blue One [BOTH ADOPTED] are two black Lab mixes. (Mom AKC registered, but not too particuliar.) These guys are 1 1/2 year old brothers. They are very comfortable together and were left alone by their military owner during the day and anxiously awaited his return. These guys are good with other dogs and kids, and they're curious about cats. Blue Boy and Blue One are neutered,and up to date on their shots,

Gunner [ADOPTED] is a handsome, 1 year old, neutered, chocolate male. He had a deformed canine tooth sticking straight out, boring a hole through his cheek. The canine was removed and the cheek sewn shut and neutered. He looks good as new. Gunner is a very nice boy, not 1 year old hyper. Pulls a bit on the lead at first, but stops, drops, and rolls for belly rubs. He WILL NOT jump on you, so someone has worked with him.

• Bailey [ADOPTED] is a 1 year old, 65 pound, yellow/white, purebred, female Lab. The owners do not have enough time left at the end of the day to give a 1 year old Lab what she needs most(exercise). Bailey comes fully equipped. She is spayed, housebroken and up to date with her shots. She is not a barker or a digger, has no problem with cats but she does like to greet you by a good old pup jump. A purebred, female Lab pup--won't last long.



• Allie [ADOPTED] is a 6 year old, 90 pound, purebred, female, black Lab. This big girl could win a doggy beauty contest if she would lose 15 pounds. This is why her owner would like to place her--not enought time to give Allie exercise. Allie is good with dogs and kids, but we're not sure about cats. She is spayed and housebroken.



• Hoppy [ADOPTED] is a 8 week old, AKC registered, chocolate Lab. This little guy is the last of a litter. His owner is a breeder.













• Jerry Lee [ADOPTED] is a 1 1/2 year old, 65 pound, male, purebred, black Lab. This handsome guy is not a digger, jumper nor barker, he loves kids of all ages and has never met a cat. Jerry Lee is a real good fetcher and is housebroken. He is not neutered so the new owner would have to agree to rectify that situation. He currently resides in Las Vegas, NM. Typical young Lab looking for a young Lab's home.


Someone dumped a mother Lab and ten puppies at Animal Control and said to euthanize them all. Of course, they didn't. The black, yellow and chocolate puppies are going out to a foster and were ready to be adopted around the end of January. -- [THE WHOLE FAMILY WAS ADOPTED]


















• Tyrone Samson [ADOPTED] is a registered 17 month old, 90-100 pound, male, black Lab. This handsome purebred guy is great with kids. (The owner says, "My 2 year old enjoys feeding him in the mornings and throwing his chew bones for him to retrieve.) Tyrone is also good with other dogs and cats. Ty has outgrown his yard and the family busy schedule makes it hard to give him the exercise he needs so he exercises himself in the back yard in typical Lab pup fashion. Tyrone is in Roswell but the owner is willing to talk about transportation. The big guy is not neutered, but for the sake of all the Labs looking for homes in New Mexico









Libby(pictured) [ADOPTED] is a 2 1/2 year old, 50 pound, black, female, Lab/Gordon Setter mix. This girl is spayed, good with dogs and kids, has no experience with cats. Her owner is a college student whose circumstances have changed, and he needs to find a home for Libby by this weekend.













• Rootbeer [ADOPTED] is a 5 year old, 75 pound, female, chocolate Lab. This lady has good energy for approaching "middle age." She is spayed and housebroken. She is good with kids, but let's make them older the little ones get knocked over too easily. Rootbeer has not been with other dogs or cats, but her dispositon is such that we feel she could adjust.







• Beau [ADOPTED] is a 6-7 year old, well trained, 80 pound, yellow Lab. He is good with dogs, cats and kids is not a jumper, digger nor barker. Here is what his owner has to say:
  " Beau has been with us since spring of 2004. He loves to play with the kids: Frisbee catch and fetch are two of his favorites. But he will also tolerate dress up and horsey, funny faced doggy (ears spread wide as a jetliners wings), and a flying superhuman boy pummeling into his soft underbelly (but he'll let superboy know that it hurt). He can heel, and is great on a leash. However, the kids have trained him to be skate dog extraordinaire (picture multiple kids on skates, each attached to dog with a strong leashes and dog pulling like and Alaskan sled dog in that famous race). Mom takes him running, where she brings a leash, but rarely uses it as Beau is kind to other dogs and their owners and he does stay with her(unless something smells really good and call is needed to remind Beau that he's on a walk.). He is highly motivated by food and walks. He is a family dog, and will not be happy unless he is included as one of the family. He desires to be where you are at most times. If he is locked outside when you are in, or in when you are out, he will let you know he would prefer to be with you. He likes to eat his mealtimes when you are eating yours (but don't get me wrong, he's happy to eat his meals whenever you feed him). He likes to sleep in the hall or on the floor in the kids or your room. He is a fabulous family dog. So you ask why would we be searching for a new home for him? Mom has developed asthma, and Beau has made it clear he is not an outside dog, he is part of the family. Since Mom really likes to breathe, we are trying to find a new happy home for him."


• Dixie [ADOPTED] is a 4 year old, 80 pound, purebred, female, yellow Lab. The family has a lot on their plate and do not have time for this beautiful girl. She is not spayed. (New owner must agree to do right by her.) Dixie has lived primarily outdoors because when she comes in she is sooo happy she rearranges the furniture. A purebred yellow--won't last long.



• Billie Holiday [ADOPTED]

  Certified pre-owned, low mileage , medium energy dog. 3 year old , Spayed female AKC chocolate lab. House broken (large capacity bladder) Never left outside. Comes with obedience training. Likes other dogs, but is a beta and can be easily bullied out of her food dish, even by cats. Lives to have hands touching her. Comes fully accessorized (leads, toys, food) and with up to date shots ( 12/2004). Gives prim dry kisses.



Peggy [ADOPTED] is a 9 month old, spayed, female, black Lab. (waiting for her picture) This good dog came to the shelter 1/3 and is available for adoption. She fell into the cracks of the system and has been in the shelter too long. without anyone knowing about her. Well worth taking a look at. ID#843728 Westside.

Jet a 10 year old, black, female Lab and Koback, a 7 year old, pure Malamute.













Ruger was a dog in the Roswell shelter, then named Logger. After some medical evaluation he was adopted to the benefit of all concerned.












• Mokha and Ebany [BOTH ADOPTED] are mother and daughter. Mokah mom is a 4 1/2 year old, 90 pound, chocolate Lab. Ebany is 2 1/2 years old and 80 pounds of black Lab. A change in the family situation makes it too difficult to give them the attention they need and deserve. Both these gals could benefit from doggy Weight Watchers, but that should be cared for when their new owners get them moving around. They are both spayed, good with other dogs and have had no experince with cats. Mokha is more settled down, and Ebany is a typical young Lab.
  
  It would be nice if they could go together, but they can be separated.

• Bouncer [ADOPTED]is a 6 month old, (Born 5/29/04) 40 pound, male, purebred. black Lab. Dad was a yellow Lab with papers and Mom was a chocolate with papers. For some reason all the pups were black. This guy is not a fence jumper, digger nor barker and loves kids. Cats are an unknown. Bouncer is not neutered and is semi-housebroken. This dog loves water, is a great fetcher, can capture a chicken and not hurt it, but is a lunkhead around horses. • Duke [Adopted] is a handsome, 3 year old, purebred, male, yellow Lab. He is housebroken, neutered, good with cats and kids. He had trouble with a dog he lived with, so maybe if he were the only dog, that would be the best. This big guy is 115 pounds of pure love. • Summer [ADOPTED] is a 10 year old,70 (should be 60) pound, spayed, housebroken, female, yellow Lab. This is a very sweet dog whose owners have passed away. She is very calm and would just like a loving home to finish giving all she has to give. Summer is a fine wine dog.

• Tara [ADOPTED]is a 9 month old, 35-40 pound, female, black Lab mix. She is good with dogs, kids and has no experience with cats. She is not a digger, barker or jumper. Tara is not spayed and has been an outside dog, but at her age both of those conditions can be changed. Her owner has been sent on vacation at government expense, so Tara needs to find a good stable home.

• Shane[ADOPTED] is a 4 year old, 75 pound, purebred. male white/yellow Lab. Shane just doesn't seem happy after a change in family schedule. His owner thinks different scenery may help. This dog is good with other dogs, great with children of all ages, is not a digger but, as with most healthy Labs, can jump a 4 foot fence. Shane is not neutered (yet), a bit timid around men and is very housebroken.

• Chico [ADOPTED] is a 5 year old, 75 pound, male, black Lab (90%)mix. Due to some moves in the family this mature, neutered, housebroken guy needs to make a move of his own. Chico is good with kids, other dogs and has not been with cats.

• Silky [ADOPTED]is a 1 year old, black, 45 pound, Lab mix. This girl is a tall and lean beauty. She is spayed, housebroken, gets along with dogs and kids, but has had no experience with cats. Silky has been described by her owner and a neighbor as sweet, smart and gentle. She is looking for a place with room to roam, a family to love, and a more than 4 foot fence.

• Matty [ADOPTED] is a 2 year old, white/yellow, thought to be pure Lab. He was adopted from the shelter a month ago but was not greeted with enthusiasm by the owner's current dog. Maybe it's best Matty find a new home. He is neutered, housebroken, microchipped, up to date on shots. He is not a digger, jumper or barker. This is a package ready to go.

• Hershey [ADOPTED] is a 13 month old, 75 pound, purebred, chocolate Lab. As if that is not enough, he is neutered, housebroken and gets along with dogs.Why would anyone wish to place a Lab like this you say? He is a typical young Lab. I have seen Hershey, and he is everything you would want in a young Lab except he...(give me a call and I'll tell you). If you know Labs, and have worked with young Labs before, Hershey will be worth considering.

• Sandy[ADOPTED] is a 2 year old, papered, yellow, female Lab. This pretty little (45 pounds) girl is acting every bit her 2 years and is proving too much for her 14 year old chocolate housemate. Sandy is currently not spayed but please promise to care for that ommission. (Albuquerque is putting down 300+ animals a week, let's not make more.) Sandy is crate trained, good with dogs and kids. Cats an unknown.

• Moose,[ADOPTED] a 6 year old, 80 pound, housebroken, chocolate Lab who is a hunting champion with ribbons to prove it. Moose is in a situation where he is not getting along with his fellow dog. (This situation is not believed to be fault of the Moose.) He is neutered, loves to be with his people and is not a digger, jumper nor barker.

• Cookie [ADOPTED]is a 7 month old, 45 pound, female Lab. This cutie was just spayed, she is up to date on her shots and is semi-housebroken. She has had no experience with other dogs but is good with cats and kids. A move puts Cookie's reluctant owner in the position of having to place this good pup.

• June[ADOPTED] is a 2 year old, beautiful, 70 pound, female, black, Lab. She was left behind when her owner moved. June was found by a good guy who took her to the shelter then adopted her out. He is now looking for a permanent home for his friend. June was found with her companion of 2 years, a small, spayed, 2 year old, shepherd mix. Both are available for adoption.

• Shelby is a 3 year old, spayed, microchipped white/yellow Lab. Here is what her owners has to say about her:

• Tessa is a 1 1/2 year old, 60 pound, female, yellow Lab. She is housbroken and spayed. Her owner has moved and Tessa doesn't have the room they would like to give her. She is not a barker, digger nor jumper. This beauty is good with dogs and kids, cats are a no-no. Tessa would love a place with room to roam and another dog with which to roam.[ADOPTED]

• Brownie is a 4 1/2 month old unspayed,(A condition needing to be cared for.) purebred female, Lab pup. She is a typical Lab. Her owner's life style has changed and Brownie and her brother Dino are a little too much dogs for them now. Dino has been adopted. Brownie's looking for her new home. Black, female, Lab mix (looks Lab with big chest like an Akita), 3 years old, 100 pounds. Molly is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her shots, crate trained, good with dogs, most cats and kids she can't knock over. To top off this great dog, Molly is also housebroken. Her owner's move is creating the need to get Molly placed quickly. [ADOPTED]

Black, male Lab mix, four year old. Bear was found wondering the streets on Christmas Eve and was picked up by two very caring people who have kept him off those streets since then. They know he's a keeper, but with their own two big dogs, seventy pound Bear had to find another home. He is a medium energy dog, befitting his age. He is housebroken, loves to walk, and good with other dogs.
